On 14 January 2025, our consortium member Gioele Balestra (HES-SO, iPrint) presented PEARL-DNA and shared his experience in the preparation and execution of this Pathfinder project. The event was organised by EURESEARCH, the Swiss guide to European research and innovation funding, and was aimed at the research community of HES-SO.
The main focus of the presentation was addressing the three Pathfinder “gatekeeper” questions:
- Do you have an ambitious vision for a novel future technology that could make a real difference to our lives?
- Do you see a plausible way of achieving the scientific breakthrough that will make this technology possible?
- Can you imagine collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of researchers and innovators to validate the scientific basis of the future technology, realise a proof of principle, and explore paths to impact?
In addition, Gioele introduced the PEARL-DNA partners, explained how the consortium was assembled, and discussed the differences in funding opportunities.
