The pioneering PEARL-DNA project has secured 5.04 million euros from the EU’s Pathfinder-Open Challenge. This substantial funding will drive the development of a revolutionary high-throughput, end-to-end Proof of Concept platform for DNA-based digital data storage. PEARL-DNA aims to redefine data storage by achieving over 10 MB/s data-to-DNA writing speeds and introducing a maintenance-free, room-temperature DNA preservation system.

PEARL-DNA brings together three renowned research groups and three innovative SMEs to anchor the European innovation ecosystem into the global DNA-based digital data storage space.
